American Top Team, commonly referred to as ATT, main academy is located in Coconut Creek, Florida. It is one of the top teams in mixed martial arts. Coaches and instructors include Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Ricardo Liborio and 1976 Olympic gold medalist Howard Davis Jr. ATT features professional fighters who have competed in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), PRIDE Fighting Championships, and K-1 among others. ATT is home to current and past title holders in various MMA organizations such as: Kenny Garner, Brian Bowles, Gesias Calvancanti, Antonio Silva, Jeff Monson and many other notables. In 2001, Ricardo Liborio left Brazilian Top Team to start ATT with hotel executive Dan Lambert as a partner. Dan provided financial support and business expertise while Ricardo formed a small group of Brazilian fighters to join him in Coconut Creek. In just five years ATT grew to a 20,000-square-foot headquarters, 20 franchises and several affiliate gyms following their system of MMA training. |
