Alexandre "Cafe" Dantas (born March 1, 1979) is a Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter. He competes in the Heavyweight division. He lost his last fight at UFC 41 - Onslaught against Gan McGee on February 28, 2003.
He is 3 times world champion in brazilian jiu-jitsu, 2002 champion in the open division Brazilian Championship, 5 times Rio de Janeiro jiu-jitsu champion, 2007 champion of de ADCC trials in Brazil, Brazilian Teams Champion at Gracie Barra team, 3 times champion of Brazil X USA jiu-jitsu, 3 times pan-american jiu-jitsu champion, 2000 USA Jiu-jitsu champion, 5 times champion of the open division of Copa Cafe Jiu-jitsu in Miguel Pereira - Rio de Janeiro, among other championships.
He beats: Rodrigo "Comprido", Grabiel "Napão" Gonzaga, Fabricio Werdum, "Marcelinho" Garcia, Demian Maia, Bruno Bastos, "Corleta", and others. He made a 30 minutes controversial fight with Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira in the USA ADCC trials, Minotauro tapout at a guilhotim choke at the same time the ring's rope bursted. The fight restart stand up and Minotauro wan by 2 points.
