David Bielkheden (born June 6, 1979) is a Swedish mixed martial arts fighter and has a black belt in BJJ. He has fought in PRIDE FC and lost to Diego Sanchez by verbal submission (strikes) at 4:43 of round 1 at UFC 82. Bielkheden won his fight against Liaudin by Unanimous Decision at UFC 89.
He started off his training at 13 years of age with kickboxing. After a couple of weeks with Aquila Kickboxing Academy, he advanced from the beginners group to the advanced group. Even so young he showed great potential but held back by Swedish laws about minors fighting, he had to wait two years before competing in the ring.
At the age of 15 he competed in a few fights but wished for another form of martial-art so he continued with boxing and later thai-boxing. In the year of 1998 David had his first taste of Bjj(Brazilian Jiu-Jistu). After quickly advancing to the competition team of the Hilti BJJ Academy he won France Open. He won all matches quickly by submissions. With this big win the founder of Hilti BJJ Academy, Richard Andersson saw David's potential and decided that he should participate in Submisson Wrestling which he did with great success.
Training in Brazil at "Brazilian Top Team Academy" with fighters such as Murilo Bustamante and Ze Mario Sperry, David received the purple belt 2002, brown belt October 2004, and the black belt 2006.
