Jose Aldo da Silva Oliveira Junior is a Brazilian mixed martial artist. He currently fights in the WEC Featherweight division. In his debut with the organization he defeated well renowned fighter Alexandre Franca Nogueira at WEC 34.

Aldo's roll continued and led him to a title shot at WEC 44 in November of 2009 where he defeated Mike Brown by 2nd round TKO. The win immediately launched Aldo into pound for pound discussion and was awarded the FiveKnuckles awards for both Fighter of the Year and Breakout Fighter of the Year.
