Paulo Thiago is a Brazilian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He is also a Brazilian Police Officer. Thiago entered the Ultimate Fighting Championship with an undefeated record acquired exclusively in his native country of Brazil, where the submission specialist has spent much of his career in the Jungle Fight promotion.

He made his UFC debut on February 21, 2009, scoring an upset victory over top contender Josh Koscheck at UFC 95. Thiago won the fight by a TKO, with a uppercut and a left hook.

Thiago will have his second fight in the UFC, fighting against the number-two welterweight contender, Jon Fitch. This fight will be at UFC 100 in Las Vegas.
