Ryan DuWayne Bader (born June 7, 1983 in Idaho) is a American professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter. He was a cast member of SpikeTV's The Ultimate Fighter: Team Nogueira vs. Team Mir. On December 13, 2008, Bader defeated Vinicius Magalhaes to win a contract with the UFC and the title of The Ultimate Fighter's light heavyweight championship.
Bader began training MMA under trainers Todd Lally and Trevor Lally. He began training at Arizona Combat Sports in early 2007 and is currently undefeated in his young MMA career. Ryan fought six times in 2007, all of them victories. Ryan's training partners include TUF 7 contender and UFC middleweight C.B. Dollaway, All-American Wrestler Aaron Simpson, UFC middleweight contender Thales Leites, and WEC Champion Jamie Varner.
Bader was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter Season 8. Bader was the first Light Heavyweight selected by Coach Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, winning his first 3 fights on the show to earn a spot in the finals.
Ryan Bader defeated Vinicius Magalhaes at The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale, earning the title of "The Ultimate Fighter" and winning a six-figure UFC contract.
