Sanae Kikuta (born September 10, 1971 in Nerima, Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese mixed martial arts fighter who rose to popularity fighting in the Pancrase organization, and currently fights for World Victory Road.
In 1996 and 1997 he won the first "Tournament of J" which is an MMA tournament that allows matches wearing Keikogis (training uniforms).
Kikuta joined the Pancrase fighting organization in April 1994, went on to fight at UFC 25: Ultimate Japan 3 in April 2000, and founded his own team GRABAKA in June 2000. He participated in the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship in April 2001 and won its 88kg class. In September 2001 he won the title of Pancrase Light Heavyweight Champion.
He currently runs the GRABAKA gym in Nakano, Tokyo, which trains fighters such as Kazuo Misaki, Akihiro Gono, and formerly Genki Sudo.
Kikuta currently fights for the Japanese SENGOKU promotion.
