Seth "The Silverback" Petruzelli is an American professional mixed martial artist and former K-1 kickboxer. He last fought for the now-defunct EliteXC. He holds notable wins over Dan Severn.
Petruzelli started training martial arts at the age of 7 and continued on training through high school, where he also played football and wrestled.
Petruzelli was a member of the cast of the Ultimate Fighting Championship's The Ultimate Fighter 2 as a heavyweight. He was eliminated in the semi-finals by Brad Imes after having defeated Dan Christison by unanimous decision in an elimination bout. He later had the opportunity to fight in the UFC in 2006, but was cut after losses to Matt Hamill and Wilson Gouveia.
On October 4, 2008, at EliteXC: Heat, he defeated Kimbo Slice in 14 seconds by TKO. He was offered the fight as a stand-in after Ken Shamrock received a cut over his left eye in pre-fight practice and was forced to back out.
In December 2008 Seth opened his own MMA gym in Orlando, Florida called "The Jungle" on East Colonial Drive. It contains a regulation-size octagon, huge matted-floor space for training and current and former UFC fighters will be teaching the classes for members. His gym has been sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings.
