again. What was the best moment of your life?
When I gave my mother her house.
And as a fighter?
When I won the Fury GP, even more than my UFC debut.
And the greatest sorrow?
When I broke my foot and had to take so much time off. That was very hard; I had a lot going through my mind. You start to think that you will never recover. I'm used to training every day, but I was forced to spend three months doing nothing. I saw things passing by in front of me, and I could not do anything, but I got better... it was only temporary.
So far you have three wins in four UFC fights, and now you will face Tomasz Drwal. Do you dream every day of the belt?
It's the hands of the owners of the UFC, but I'm working on it. I want to be world champion and I will work hard to achieve it.
How is your training coming along?
My training has been very good, thank God. I'm working hard to improve every day, and I have high expectations.
What do you know about his (Drwal's) game?
I know it is very similar to mine. He likes to strike, and work the ground and pound. I think this is a good fight for me.
People used to say that you had a good ground game and takedowns, but they criticized your striking. Have you been working on this? Do you think it (your striking) has evolved?
I'm working hard to improve, as much as possible. My height makes it difficult to box, so I need to mix things up. I'm working on my explosiveness, to move in and out of reach.
In your last fight, against Lucio Linhares, did you think it would be that kind of ground war?
He surprised me a little because he is so talented on the ground. I was impressed with what he did on the ground, he is very versatile. I enjoyed the fight with him, because he helped me see the true meaning of Jiu-Jitsu. I've trained in Jiu-Jitsu my whole life, as everybody knows, and I can tell you, he has very sharp Jiu-Jitsu.
Anderson (Silva) will face Vitor (Belfort) for the belt in your division. How do you think this fight will go?
I'll tell you honestly, inside (the Octagon) things change a lot. You never know what will happen, especially when you are talking about two champions. Vitor was a great champion, and Anderson is a great champion still, so I can't really give an opinion- you can't take anything away from either of them. Their fighting styles are similar, so anything could happen on a given day. I think it will be a great fight, but I can only guess at what will happen.
If you had to face one of those two, would you fight them without any reservations?
Certainly, at any time. It is an honor to fight with another fighter I admire. I always fight the same way, I wouldn't have any problems.
What did you think of the fight between Shogun and Machida, and how do you think the rematch will go?
To tell you the truth, I did not even watch that fight. People have said that the results of that fight do not reflect the way it really went, but I think this time it will be more fair. Both of them will change their strategy, and it will not go down the same.
