Georges St. Pierre talks about permanent move to middleweight

Still, despite the very real chance that a move to middleweight might someday put him in conflict with one of his training partners and preclude a matchup, St. Pierre seemed more comfortable than ever before, talking about the possibility of fighting at 185.

He finished his interview with a comment that is sure to be received with mixed emotions - regret at the idea of a division that would suddenly seem a little bit empty without the champ's familiar presence, and excitement at the thought of what a move to new territory might mean for a man who is still young enough to make his presence felt for many years to come.

"If I do it one day," St. Pierre explained. "I'm going to make sure it will be the end of 170, because I will go up for good."
