the middleweight champ after UFC 112, a bout with Sonnen could be considered one of the most anticipated fights of the year. That may sound absurd at this point, but as the talking continues fans will become more and more enthralled by the matchup.

Castle: "Man crush" lol. Soares is a funny man. I think Chael deserves a shot. As mentioned, he man handled the No. 1 contender and got the decisive win. IMO it runs along the same lines as Hardy getting a shot at Georges. So why not? I'm interested to see Soares do some speaking on Aldo's behalf...
JujitsWho: Stylistically, Sonnan is a far worse match-up for Silva than Maia. He has a better chin and better TDs than Maia. If Maia can get the fight to the ground he has a great shot at a sub, but he would likely be KO'd before he could get it there. I really believe Sonnan could avoid this and get the TD and control Silva from top position.
Now I'm not saying he would win for sure, but he poses a much larger problem to Silva than Maia does IMO which is probably why they want him to fight Maia first. Maia stylistically is a bad match-up for Sonnan since Sonnan likes to overwhelm people with his wrestling, but against a strong grappler like Maia, thats a very risky position to be in. Maia would likely sub him again

GO HARD: i want SONNEN!! as many know im prolly the hugest anderson silva fan oon this sight... and jits is correct sonnen poses a bigger threat. but i dont see sonnen being able to take silva down for 5 rounds with out getting KO'd... or even submitted. i want sonnen cuz he talked garbage... give the boy what he wants.. he wants to lose to the best champ the ufc has ever offered. maia?? pshhh i would fear for maia facing anderson. q; D

xdusty: sonnen is a hard fight for silva. but sonnens style makes it difficult for him to fight maia or silva. sonnen wont finish silva, so he would have the seemingly impossible task of holding down and out pointing silva for 5 rounds. on the other hand, maia can at least finish fights, but his takedowns arent near what sonnens are. if we could fuse maia and sonnen together, they'd beat silva. but until that happens, i think vitor will be his hardest competition of the three.
