twisted like a Bavarian pretzel. During a break in the training I asked Cesar what he thought of the training to which he replied: "The training is excellent, it gives the Marines the opportunity to put another tool on their tool belt, giving them an edge that the enemy won't have".
At the end of the training day GySgt Expinoza also stated: "My Marines had a blast training with pro fighters like Gray Maynard, Tim Kennedy, Jorge Rivera, Tim Credeur, and Damacio Page".
"This was, by far, some of the best training I've ever received," said Cpl. Joshua M. Collier, bulk fuel specialist, 1st Marine Division. "It definitely was a great privilege to be on the same mat as (the professionals) and seeing all these UFC legends face-to-face is such an honor," said Collier. "But having them take the time to teach me what made them so successful is something that I will never forget."
I am privileged to have shared in this experience with my friends from Ranger Up and the MMA community. To those fighters and instructors who tirelessly trained the troops and donated their time I say thank you. To the Marines and Sailors who participated in the training I say Semper Fidelis and get some!
