Demian Maia vs. Mario Miranda

Round 1- Both fighters have entered the ring and are now awaiting their instructions from referee Herb Dean. They touch gloves and the match begins. Miranda throws a nice kick which is blocked by Maia. Maia catches a kick and takes down Miranda. Miranda is able to stand back up, but is taken back down instantly. Maia works his ground game is now looking to take Mirandas back. Maia has the back with one hook in as he lands shots the the head of Miranda. Both hooks are now in as Maia looks to secure the choke. Maia works a choke and then turns it to a possible triangle/armbar. Miranda fights through it and gets back to his feet. Maia eats a leg kick from Miranda as he attempts a power punch. Miranda lands a few more weak leg kicks as Maia misses a lunging left hook. Fivekuckles scores the round for Maia 10-9

Round 2- Round 2 begins with Miranda looking to land a big shot on Maia which misses. Maia lands a nice knee from the clinch and press Miranda against the cage. Maia takes him down and goes back to work on the ground. Maia continues to control from top position as he passes to half-guard and then looks to mount. Maia, now in full mount, looks to move Miranda away from the cage to make room for his sub attempts. Maia's looking for an arm-triangle from mount but lets it go to land more shots to Mirandas head. Maia is dominating from mount as Miranda is content to stay in the position it seems as Maia looks to isolate an arm for a possible armbar or triangle attempt. Maia has the arm, but Miranda slips out of the attempt and stands back up as the round ends. FiveKnuckles score the round 10-9 for Maia

Round 3- They start round 3 and Maia grabs a leg and takes down Miranda and takes his back. Maia now has a body triangle locked in from the back as he lands solid shots. Maia lets the body lock go and goes back to hooks. Maia looks to trap the arm while landing more shots to the head or Miranda. Miranda fights through the bad position and gets back to his feet. Maia and Miranda are now both gassed and exchange sloppy shots in the stand up. Maia gets yet another takedown and immediately passes to mount. Maia has the arm and looks to throw the leg over to secure the armbar. He secures the armbar as Miranda then explodes with perfect timing to escape as the round ends.
