FiveKnuckles.com: We hear Bobby Lashely is up here training with you guys. How'd he do?

Brendan Schaub: Shane and I brought him in here the other night and just rolled around with him. He has a wrestling background. His jui-jitsu is pretty raw but he's gonna be a great training partner. He's a very raw dude. My wrestling's gonna be the (amazing) after training with these guys [laughs].

FiveKnuckles.com: You've been a Golden Gloves boxing champion. How does your boxing matchup to a guy like Andrei Arlovski?

Brendan Schaub: You know, Andrei just got into boxing but he's working with Freddy Roach and he's fighting in pro boxing. I definitely aim to fight him, you know. People talk about me and him fighting or boxing. Andrei's boxing looked phenomenal when he fought Fedor. Looked phenomenal when he fought Ben Rothwell, too.

FiveKnuckles.com: Who are guys you look at and say that guy is at the top of his game? That guy is somebody I watch and can learn from?

Brendan Schaub: People are gonna say I'm biased but it's definitely Nate Marquardt and guys like Georges St. Pierre. Georges is opening avenues for fighters and signing with companies like Gatorade, really great for the sport. I remember watching Nate fight Wilson Gouveia and thinking, ‘that's how I wanna fight'. The combo's he threw, I kept thinking, where have I seen that, I know I've seen that somewhere... Mortal Kombat (video game)! I've seen that on Mortal Kombat! [laughs].
