1stRound:

Lindland takes the center of the ring, however Belfort lands a vicious left hook and instantly drops Lindland. Belfort immediately pounces on him and lands four final shots on the ground before the fight is stopped.

Lindland laid motionless on the mat for quite some time while medical staff attended to him. They brought in a neck brace and stretcher, however Lindland was finally able to walk out of the ring on his own power.

Josh Barnett (248) vs. Gilbert Yvel (240)

1stRound:

Barnett takes command of the center of the ring and fires a risky straight right that misses. Yvel lands a nice leg kick, but was unable to follow up with and of his punches. Barnett gets a body lock on Yvel, although eats a lot of punches in the process. Barnett is now unleashing some aggressive G'nP and lands a nice elbow.

Barnett advances to half-guard and attempts a kimora. Yvel is able to escape, however Barnett goes after it again. Barnett postures up and continues to try and advance. He goes for the kimora a third time, however Yvel was doing a good job in keeping it in half-guard.

Barnett finally gets full mount and rains down punches. The fight was very close to being stopped, as Barnett was landing punch after punch in full mount. Yvel was able to slide out the back door in the round's final seconds.

5thRound Scores Round: 10-9, Barnett

2ndRound:

Yvel goes for some risky strikes and Barnett is able to easily take the fight to the ground. He lands in a dominate side mount position and starts to go to work. As Barnett attempts another kimora, Yvel is able to get him into his half-guard. Barnett maneuvers into full mount with little resistance from Yvel.

Although Barnett was in the full mount position for almost two minutes of the round, he seems to have lost a little wind as his attack was not as vicious as in the 1stRound. Yvel finally throws some shots from the bottom, but Barnett marches on.

Yvel is able to reverse with a few seconds in the round and lands a couple of nice strikes. Not enough to win the round though.

5thRound Scores Round: 10-9, Barnett

3rdRound:

Barnett allows Yvel to swing wildly as he moves in and secures a dominate slam. He easily gets to the full mount position and lands a sharp elbow. Yvel continues to squirm, however Barnett's base is far too good as he continues to throw punches to Yvel's face.

The crowd starts to boo as they feel Barnett should be unleashing a barrage to finish the fight. Barnett responds and gives the crowd what they asked for as Yvel finally taps from the the strikes.
