UFC middleweight contender Alan Belcher said on his Twitter account Tuesday that he has been cleared to return to the UFC and he wants to face the division's top competition.
Belcher has won four of his last five fights overall with victories over Ed Herman, Denis Kang, Wilson Gouveia and Patrick Cote. Belcher's only loss during that span was a split decision defeat to Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 100.
Belcher has been sidelined since a detached retina he suffered in training prior to a scheduled September 2010 bout with Demian Maia. According to Belcher, he's fully recovered from the injury and ready to get back into the Octagon. Now, he just needs an opponent.
Belcher asked his fans on Twitter who they thought he should fight next but warned he only wanted to go up against "big names" like Maia, Wanderlei Silva and Michael Bisping.
