UFC middleweight champ, Anderson Silva, is back in the gym after recovering from a shoulder injury according to bloodyelbow.com.
"Anderson's shoulder is doing very well. He did a great job these past months and is doing well, with the postural part being excellent. He's well, he feels no more pain and is back in training," Angela Cortez, Silva's physiotherapist, said.
Silva is currently expected to fight the winner of Chael Sonnen vs. Mark Munoz scheduled for UFC on Fox 2. His last bout was against Yushin Okami at UFC 134, winning in the second round via TKO.
"Now he only needs to improve on his physical condition. He's 100%. I believe he'll be announcing his next fight soon enough," Cortez said.
Although never a career threatening injury, Silva's return to training is a great sign especially when Silva's career approaches its end. Talks of two to four more fights have been considered by Silva before he retires, including a super-fight with George St. Pierre or Jon Jones.
