Former UFC heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski, has been under heavy criticism lately but "The Pit Bull" looks to prove his naysayers wrong at the inaugural ProElite event when he fights Ray Lopez according to mmamaina.com.
"Come on, let's be f***ing serious. I'm already sick of f***ing stupid questions about head injuries and a weak chin. It's f***ing bulls***and honestly, it pisses me off. Who says? I don't know. I'm feeling great. I'm in good shape and everything's fine. Do I look like a f***ing retired person or something?" Arlovski said.
Arlovski is currently on a four fight losing streak, with his last win dating back to 2008's knockout over Roy Nelson. During this downward spiral, many have questioned Arlovski's ability to take punishment. The term "glass chin" have been linked to Arlovski who has suffered three TKO/KO losses among his four defeats.
His opponent at the inaugural ProElite event on August 27 is Ray Lopez (5-2). Lopez is 4-1 over his last five fights and also holds two TKO/KO victory of his five wins.
Dubbed "ProElite 1", it is being held on August 27 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii.
