What was originally booked as Cody McKenzie vs. Bart Palaszewski, has now become Gleison Tibau vs. Rafaello Oliveira at UFC 130. UFC.com announced that Palaszewski had been forced out of the event late last night.
UFC 130 will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 28.
Gleison Tibau originally stepped up to face Palaszewski after Cody McKenzie was forced out of action due to an injury suffered while training. Tibau was gunning for his second straight victory after topping Kurt Pellegrino via unanimous decision at UFC 128 in March.
Now with Palaszewski injured, former UFC fighter Rafaello Oliveira has agreed to take the fight on short notice. The Brazilian fought for the promotion from 2009 to 2010, going 1-2 with losses to Nik Lentz and Andre Winner. Since his release, he has racked up four straight victories in outside promotions.
UFC 130 is headlined by a light heavyweight scrap between Quinton Jackson and Matt Hamill.
