Anthony Johnson sure has no lack of confidence when he faces Vitor Belfort at UFC 142 according to mmamania.com.
"Jiu-jitsu. I'm gonna submit his ass. Knock him out and submit him, all at the same time. Vitor don't want none of this on the ground. Elbows, baby! Kicks, punches, from my back. I do spinning back kicks from the guard," Johnson said.
Johnson will be making his middleweight debut when he fights Belfort after spending the majority of his UFC career as a big welterweight. Since the 185lb division is closer to his natural weight, Johnson states that he feels better than he has his whole career. "Rumble" is even considering a stay at middleweight after his fight with Belfort.
"It's gonna be a good night in Brazil and it's gonna be a bad night in Brazil, all at the same time," Johnson said.
Johnson is currently on a two fight win streak, last defeating Charlie Brenneman via head kick at UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson. Opposing him is Belfort whose sole loss in his last seven fights comes only from Anderson Silva. Belfort last fought at UFC 133 and demolished Japanese sensation, Yoshihiro Akiyama in the first round via KO.
With 21 knockouts between them, Johnson vs. Belfort is sure to be a great fight. UFC 142 is set for January 14 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
