Anthony Perosh forced out of UFC 131 fight, Igor Pokrajac steps in to face Soszynski
by Tim Groves on May 11, 2011

Igor Pokrajac has agreed to step in for Anthony Perosh at UFC 131 against Krzysztof Soszynski, according to UFC.com.

UFC 131 will take place in Vancouver, Canada on June 11.

Pokrajac hopes to put together his second victory in a row after he stopped Todd Brown at UFC on Versus 3. Prior to the fight with Brown, Pokrajac was a mere 1-3 inside the Octagon. He opened up his UFC career with two straight defeats to Vladimir Matyushenko and James Te-Huna. Pokrajac was able to avoid unemployment when he defeated James Irvin in his third fight with the promotion. He then added another loss to Stephan Bonnar before the victory over Brown.

Soszynski came into the UFC on the heels of a stint on The Ultimate Fighter. Coming off of the show, he reeled off three straight victories, including two by way of kimura. Since then Soszynski has managed to alternate wins and losses, going 2-2 in that time frame.

UFC 131 is headlined by a heavyweight fight between Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos.
