Antonio Rogerio Nogueira on Chael Sonnen: "He has no principals or character."
by FiveKnuckles.com Staff on July 17, 2011

"It sure would be a great fight [between us]. He's a guy everybody wants to beat. He's not a good example for the sport. He talks too much and says a lot of nonsense. He has a problem with Brazilians; he discriminates against us. He could find a way to promote a fight without speaking ill of anyone. I think it's a tactic he tries to use to destabilize Anderson [Silva] or whoever he faces, but he has to know that's not the way things work. In martial arts, we learn to respect each other. I'll never speak ill of another fighter. Sonnen disrespects others and has no principles or character. He's a guy that every professional fighter, at least on my team, wants to face." -Antonio Rogerio Nogueira via Sherdog.com

Recently injured light-heavyweight contender Antonio Rogerio Nogueira shares his thoughts on widely disdained UFC middleweight mainstay Chael Sonnen. Sonnen has consistently blasted Nogueira and his camp since a fight he had against Nogueira's campmate and current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva last year.

Nogueira seems open to the possibility of facing Sonnen, a middleweight, who has told FiveKnuckles.com that he's willing to move up to light-heavyweight for fights in the future. But don't expect the fight to be announced anytime soon, as Nogueira recently suffered a shoulder injury and Sonnen is set to face Brian Stann at UFC 136 on Oct. 8.

 |  (11) Comments Mtx: People should just ignore Sonnen. Nog, you are too much of a nice guy to even respond to the amount of bs this guy says, dont even go there. JimLaheyTPS: Sonnen is a POS that I hope dies in next fight. I don't know anyone who likes him and hope he never fights again even thou I know he will. Greedydrunk: The guy is smart, I didnt even know who he was until he started running his mouth, now fighters want to fight him and all of us want to watch him either get beaten up or win. This all translates in to money for him. That being said it is bad for the sport to be trying to delegitimize Brazil, BJJ and Pride. SicJits: Go pet buses and try to feed it a carrot
