Antonio Silva to face Jim York for shot at Josh Barnett
by Gavin Vincent on September 01, 2009

"I'm getting crazy to fight again... I'll go inside for another victory. I'm anxious to fight, feel that energy. He [Jim York] has two fights at Sengoku, and was knocked out by Nakao, who I just won. I wanna get there physically. I'll go there to submit or to knock him out. I don't like to let the result with the judges."

-Antonio Silva briefly talks about his upcoming bout with Jim York at Sengoku "Tenth Battle". Sengoku's president, Naoya Kinoshita, recently assured Silva that if he were to win he'd be in line to face Josh Barnett. Both Silva and Barnett have had failed steroid tests in the United States and were subsequently suspended from competing by stateside commissions but those commissions have no juristiction in Japan where Sengoku events are held. Silva currently owns three heavyweight titles for the Cage Rage, Cage Warriors and EliteXC promotions.
