BJ Penn's future is in a state of limbo as the MMA legend continues to contemplate whether or not he should fight again according to mmaweekly.com.
Penn is the UFC's former two division, lightweight and welterweight, champion whose career came close to ending after his last bout at UFC 137 against Nick Diaz. Bloodied with a swollen eye after a three round Fight of the Night performance, Penn announced "this is probably the last time you're ever going to see me in here" in the post fight interview with Joe Rogan.
However after months of relative silence, "The Prodigy" fired back at Diaz on his twitter account calling for a rematch with him. Penn clearly still has some fight left in him but ultimately his decision is unknown.
"I have been talking to B.J. Penn. Talked to B.J. Penn last week, it's the first time B.J. and I have talked since his fight. He's just chilling right now. B.J. just wants to relax and figure out what he wants to do with his career," Dana White, UFC president, said.
