Bart Palaszewski felt disrespected when Tyson Griffin missed weight at UFC 137

Bart Palaszewski felt disrespected by Tyson Griffin when he missed weight in their bout at UFC 137 according to mmajunkie.com.

"I think he kind of almost disrespected me. I think he got lazy. He didn't take the camp seriously. He didn't make the weight in the first place," Palaszewski said.

Despite having fought in the featherweight division in the past, Griffin appeared at the weight-ins at 149lbs and their fight became a catch weight bout.

Palaszewski's bout with Griffin was his first fight in nearly a year, sidelined by injuries since December, but "Bartimus" showed little ring rust as he stopped Griffin midway through the first round with a flurry of punches. That knockout also earned Palaszewski Knockout of the Night honors which capped off a successful UFC debut.

"I just want to get out there and fight. He can respect me, disrespect me, whatever. I just want to get out there, fight and put on good fights," Palaszewski said.

Palaszewski is now 5-1 over his last six fights, winning four of those bouts from stoppages and also holds a notable victory over Anthony Pettis during the span. On the other hand, Griffin drops to 1-4 over five fights.

Wandering_Minstrel: Tyson hasn't looked good in a long time and it is a strong possibility that he did underestimate Bartimus. His heart just might not be in it anymore. GO HARD: guess he should have stayed with the 2 0 9.
