This week's Shambala Sports Radio broadcast promises to, once again, be guest heavy with three interviews you don't want to miss.
Our first guest will be two-time UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia. Less than 24 hours away from his Moosin fight promotion debut, a pay-per-view televised fight with Mariusz Pudzianowski, Sylvia will discuss his fight with Jay and Scott, as well as speak about his past, present and future in the sport of mixed martial arts.
Pride and UFC veteran Heath Herring will also be joining us. The Texas-native will be on hand to talk about where he's been and what he's been doing since we last saw him in the Octagon in 2008. Have we seen the last of Herring? What projects is he working on? What are his views on the pay scale of the UFC, and its head honcho Dana White? We will ask these questions and more.
Adding to the festivities, "Butterbean" Eric Esch will visit the show. The former Toughman star has spent the last 20 years fighting, however, Friday he will step into the promoter's seat for the first time, overseeing Moosin's pay-per-view event.
Our interviews will conclude with what could very well be our biggest name interview to date, as MMA legend Bas Rutten will join us on the show. Rutten, who will be commentating at Moosin Friday night, is never short a quote, and he'll bring his wit and humor to the Shambala Sports Radio show tonight!
Along with the interviews, Jay and Scott will discuss the Shine Fight fallout. Following the cancellation of their May 15 pay-per-view, Jay and Scott will speculate what could be next for the promotion.
The Thursday Night Crew also will be recalling the Strikeforce event - which saw Alistair Overeem retain his heavyweight title, Antonio Silva one-up Andrei Arlovski, and Ronaldo Souza move one step closer to the middleweight title.
As always, the Shambala Sports Radio crew will conclude the show with it's weekly roundtable discussion. Joining Jay, Scott and Natalia Baage will be UFC and Pride veteran James Lee.
Be sure to tune into Shambala Sports Radio Thursday night, 10 p.m. EST for what is unquestionably our biggest night to date!
