Bisping on Daley: "It's one of the stupidest things I've ever seen."

Paul Daley has recently become a hot button topic amongst Mixed Martial Arts fans and fighters due to his post-fight strike against Josh Koscheck following their fight at UFC 113.

With opinions running frequent in MMA circle, it's no surprise that fighters have been asked, and offered up their opinions, with regard to the incident.

Fellow British based fighter Michael Bisping was the most recent fighter to give his views on Daley. 

"What can I say? It was one of the stupidest things that I had ever seen," Bisping was quoted as saying in an interview with Ariel Helwani on MMAFighting.com.

Bisping's unfavorable comments certainly were not out of the ordinary. Comments regarding Daley's actions have been called "classless" by Jake Rosholt and he was called "garbage" by Jamie Varner on their individual Facebook pages. In his interview with Helwani, Bisping was able to elaborate a little more on his thoughts.

"Paul's a very talented young man, he's got a bright future ahead of him and he was getting his UFC career off to a fantastic start and it's a shame to see a few seconds of madness ruin such a great potential career," Bisping said. "This is a professional sport and we're professional sportsman, you can't act like that."

While expressing disapproval over Daley's actions, Bisping also cited surprise over Dana White's decision to release him outright.

"To be honest, I was a little shocked when I heard that the UFC were cutting him completely," Bisping said. "I thought, maybe, he might be relegated to the undercard, but I'm sure they have their reasons."

Bisping also expressed hope that his fellow countryman would eventually make his way back to the Octagon despite White's strong comments to the contrary.

"Maybe we'll see him back one day," Bisping said. "I hope so. I've known Paul for a while. He's a nice guy. He just made a silly mistake."

Also, it's kinda funny that Varner's trying to ride on the Daley hate train in a lame attempt win the good graces of the fans. Sorry Varner, but people are going to continue hating you probably more than Daley, or even Kos. big daddy: Whats not to like about Bisping - did you guys really take that Brit vs. US stuff on TUF seriously? He hypes up a fight without going over the top, and is humble, thankful and respectful in victory or defeat. On top of that he is funny as hell and definitely a great fighter considering his experience v.s. a lot of the top guys. Definitely the best wrestler is the UK, with quality striking and great heart. Im surprised people stateside have not taken to him. HappyHamer: IMO Babalu and Daley both got cut because of the disregard they showed for their actions as much as for the act itself. Rousiamr Palhares held onto the heel hook that injured Drwal for too long but was immediately apologetic and apparently remorseful and will fight in the UFC again. D_V: Class schmass. Bisping is a well rounded fighter with good skills in all aspects and great skills in none of them. He is in phenomenal shape and has been fighting at 100% of his potential for a couple of years now anyways. He will always beat chumps and lose to high end fighters. He has absolutely nothing dynamic in his game at all. He is a marketing creation more than anything because the Brits suck at MMA. big daddy: Yea, noticed you like talking crap. Truth is he lost to a legend in Silva , had an off day against Henderson when he was terrible - it happens to everybody, and has beat everybody else who has been put in front of him. D_V and I have had a few private chats and realise we both went further than was necessary. D_V got most of the flack for starting an argument, but it was clearly just as much if not more my fault.
