Brazilian welterweight prospect, Erick Silva, will make his UFC debut against Mike Swick at UFC 134 according to sherdog.com.
The 26-year old Silva has spent his mixed martial arts career competing in numerous Brazilian promotions, building a 11-0 record. His last opponent didn't even make it out of the first round as Silva won via arm triangle choke.
Silva has trained with the likes of Anderson Silva, the Nogueira brothers and Ronaldo Souza. He has ended the majority of his fights via submissions and would be a good addition to the UFC's highly competitive welterweight division.
Swick will prove to be a stiff test for the UFC newcomer, as he has already established himself as a game opponent. The American Kickboxing Academy veteran, has built a 12-3 record in the UFC with big wins over UFC notables Ben Saunders, Marcus Davis and Joe Riggs. He'll be looking to snap a two fight losing streak, after suffering losses to Paulo Thiago and Dan Hardy respectively, as he steps in to the cage at UFC 134 to face Silva.
UFC 134 takes place on August 27 and will be headlined by a middleweight title bout between champion Anderson Silva and challenger Yushin Okami.
