Breaking down WEC 42's betting odds
by Ben Zeidler on August 07, 2009

WEC 42 features the premier 135 pound fighter in the world, Miguel Torres.  He'll be defending his belt for what seems like the millionth time against a very competent Brian Bowles.

Miguel Torres (-300) vs. Brian Bowles (+220): Torres, who could very well be the best pound for pound fighter in the world, is a steal here at -300.  He should dominate all facets of the fight and stop this one early.

Jeff Curran vs. Takeya Mizugaki: Odds aren't up yet on this one but if they become available, take Curran.  I think he's a very live underdog with the experience necessary to take this from the talented Mizugaki.

Rani Yahya vs. John Hosman: Again, no odds up yet but they could be up soon.  When they do go up, check the line on Yahya which should be around -700.  To be fair, Yahya should absolutely murder Hosman.  However, no fighter should ever be a -700 if the matchmaker has done his job.  Take a tiny play on Hosman just in case.
