Brett Rogers on Fedor Emelianenko: "He hasn’t felt the power that he’s about to get."

"Life is kinda moving along pretty fast now, especially after this (Andrei) Arlovski fight. I feel this is well deserved, I mean, everything that happened, happened for a reason, and I was the one to complete it. I feel that I’m a different fighter for Fedor; he hasn’t felt the power that he’s about to get. He’s talented, but the same things he’s skilled in, I’m skilled in. It’s just we’re gonna see who’s more hungry."

Undefeated heavyweight prospect Brett Rogers recently joined Fight Network Radio on Hardcore Sports Radio to talk about his upcoming bout against former Pride heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko. The fight will take place at a yet unknown date and location but was announced at a presser last week in New York City.

Rogers was originally rumored to face Emeilianenko at Affliction: "Trilogy" after his original opponent Josh Barnett tested positive for steroids. Affliction ultimately decided to scrap the event and cease MMA operations shorty there after.

Rogers was still relatively unknown until his last fight, when he defeated former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski at S trikeforce's June 6 event. He previously defeated Ron Humphrey in his Strikeforce debut and went a perfect 3-0 under the now-defunct EliteXC banner. Overall, Rogers sports an 10-0 MMA record, with all of his wins being by stoppages, including 9 by TKO or KO.
