UFC welterweight, Brian Foster, is cleared to resume his MMA career after doctors discovered that the brain hemorrhage that he suffered will not cause any permanent damage according to mmajunkie.com.
Foster was scheduled to fight Sean Pierson at UFC 129 this past month but was forced off the card due to a brain hemorrhage that was discovered by doctors. It took a second MRI exam to determine that Foster will not suffer any long term damage from the brain hemorrhage.
Foster, who is 15-5 in his MMA career and 3-2 in the UFC, will be able to return to his normal training regime soon after he was prevented from sparring due to the injury.
Foster seems to be a glutton for punishment. In addition to the brain hemorrhage scare, Foster also suffered a burst testicle after being on the receiving end of a misplaced kick at the beginning of March.
"Fighting is Brian's life, his last fight was in November, so this was a six-month layoff. Brian's one of those guys that wants to fight. If he's not hurt one week, he wants to fight the next" Foster's trainer and manager, Marc Fiore said on mmajunkie.com.
Foster awaits his next match-up, with his last fight ending in a submission win over Matt Brown at UFC 123.
