Brock Lesnar Update: Dana White is quiet
by Natalia Baage on January 07, 2010

Everyone is anxious to hear news about Brock Lesnar's health. Will he come back or won't he? And if so, how soon will it be?

Mike Chiappetta from MMAFighting.com reached the UFC President by text and asked about Lesnar's health.

"Brock asked me not to talk about it," White wrote. "I have to respect that."

When asked to go into more detail about the heavyweight champion's health issue, White had the following to say:

"No comment. First time in nine years I have ever said that."

While this update might not be too informative on the surface, it seems clear that there is more news that Lesnar does not want the public to know. More details might come out within the next week or so, as White should make an official statement regarding the heavyweight division in the near future.

With the heavyweight division waiting for more information as well, the UFC has implemented a heavyweight interim title belt. Frank Mir will take on Shane Carwin for the interim belt at UFC 111 on March 27.

Lesnar was originally supposed to fight Shane Carwin at UFC 106 in November 2009. However, by the end of October 2009, Lesnar was forced to pull out of the bout. His last fight took place at UFC 100 in July where he beat Mir, and then engaged in a controversial post-fight display.
