A middleweight bout between "The Ultimate Fighter" 7 runner-up C.B. Dollaway and 11-year veteran Joe Doerksen has been verbally agreed upon for the UFC 119 card in September, according to MMAjunkie.com.
Though not officially announced, UFC 119 is expected to take place on September 25 at Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana and it will be the promotion's debut in The Hoosier State.
Dollaway (10-2) has won his last two bouts, picking up wins over Jay Silva and most recently Goran Reljic at UFC 110 in February. Prior to the wins, he suffered the second loss of his career against Tom Lawlor at UFC 100.
Dollaway now sports a 4-2 record in six appearances with the UFC, suffering a loss in his UFC debut against Amir Sadollah, which was then followed by two straight wins over Jesse Taylor and Mike Massenzio. Dollaway along with TUF 8 winner Ryan Bader and UFC middleweight Aaron Simpson recently left their longtime training home of Arizona Combat Sports to form their own gym.
Doerksen (46-12) is currently on a seven-fight winning streak, which includes a win over Tom Lawlor in his Octagon return at UFC 113 in May and recently defeating Shawn Marchand at Canadian Fighting Championship 5 on June 5. The UFC allowed Doerksen to keep the fight against Marchand because the fight was signed before he re-signed with the Las Vegas based promotion.
With the win over Lawlor, Doerksen's UFC record improved to 2-5, scoring his only other Octagon win over Patrick Cote, while suffering other UFC losses to Nate Marquardt, Joe Riggs and Matt Lindland. He has fought for an array of other notable promotions throughout his career such as Superbrawl, IFL, Extreme Challenge, Sengoku and DEEP.
