Carlos Condit takes on Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 132
by Tim Groves on April 08, 2011

Carlos Condit (26-5) will meet fellow welterweight Dong Hyun Kim (14-0-1 1 NC) at UFC 132, according to the UFC Twitter account.

UFC 132 takes place on July 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The former WEC welterweight champion, Carlos Condit is 3-1 since he came over to the UFC. He lost his promotional debut to Martin Kampmann via split decision but has since rattled off three straight victories. His last appearance inside the Octagon was arguably his most impressive. Condit knocked out British striker Dan Hardy inside the first round to propel himself into title contention.

Meanwhile, Kim is still undefeated during his mixed martial arts career. His most recent appearance was a thorough stifling of Nate Diaz and his impressive Jiu-Jitsu. Kim controlled Diaz for the majority of their three round affair as he walked away with a unanimous decision. Prior to that fight, Kim had posted impressive victories over Amir Sadollah and T.J. Grant

A victory for either would surely launch them into the upper echelon of the welterweight division.

UFC 132 is headlined by a bantamweight title fight between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.

 |  (14) Comments GO HARD: Nate almost finished DHKim... i think if Carlos attacks the stand up like Nate did later on in the fight... he will win this. thug4less: I think Condit wins this by UD. Jambi: A pretty bad match-up for Condit. I'm a fan of his and quite frankly i'm worried about this. Wandering_Minstrel: Should be an excellent fight. Looking forward to this one. The Hitman: If you ask me this fight is going to be one sided either way. Either DHK can take Condit down at will and hump his leg for 3 rounds or Condit dominates him. flyangler: Yeah a training camp against Georges should prep condit well. I hope he wins. Condit by UD.
