Chael Sonnen fires back at Wanderlei Silva

Yesterday, we reported that UFC star Wanderlei Silva called out Chael Sonnen in hopes of landing a match-up with middleweight king of trash talk. Today Sonnen responded with several blasts back at Silva via twitter.

Here's a look at what Sonnen had to say in order appearence on his twitter page:

  • Wand, you might as well fill out your own toe tag. Where it says 'Cause of death,' just write, 'I pissed off a Gangster.
  • You killed who? I was taking it easy on you. Ya looked like Tammy Faye Baker. I went easy so that new face of yours wouldn't fall off.
  • More guys have worked on your face than it took to build the Pyramids. You look like Lisa Rinna w/a Leprechaun beard, you fool.
  • You are a walking punchline. Go fight what's left of Sakuraba in an alley behind a sushi place in Tokyo for 10 Yen apiece.
  • If it wasn't for me, you would be thrashing around the jungle w/a blowgun trying' to catch breakfast. 
  • So a word to the UNWISE. DON'T TALK ABOUT ME. You don't have the words, I DO. You just got burried. Now run along or I'll do worse tomorrow.
  • Wanna talk some more about killing me in the gym, y'idiot?
  • You're lucky your brother Joe's the matchmaker or you'd be sellin' barbecued monkey on the street in Manaus

I still hope Wanderlei breaks his jaw with knees but I don't have faith it will happen. Barbecued monkey though, that's a win, and he does kind of look like Lisa Rinna. Wandering_Minstrel: Chael Sonnen is the undisputed champ of trash talk. Too bad the UFC doesn't offer a belt for it. Mickey knox: I think Wanderlei and Sonnen are defiitely just both playing the trash-talk-publicity game, and I think it's certainly a smart move for Wandy, cause it may land him the fight. I don't know if it's so smart for Sonnen though. This guy can't help but talk a very personal brand of trash, and the way I see it, it's better motivation for Wandy. He especially fights to kill when he ginuinely doesn't like his opponent. So if Sonnen decides to talk the kind of shit that will have Wandy looking for blood from the get go, and more willing pull the trigger than some of his previous outings, it's all good by me. If this fight get's announced, which looks like a good possibility, I can already hear all the shit Sonnen will be saying about Wand being old and irrelivent. How's he gonna like it when an old, irrelevent legend knocks his ass out of the MW upper teir? I love this fight because Sonnen has much more to lose in his standing as far as title picture goes than Wandy, and I think he will. TheBigDonkey: Sonnen referring to himself as a gangster is really really funny, even if he's doing it in an ironic way. Marker28: Sonnen needs to simmer down until he is allowed to fight again. mike5k: I don't usually care for trash-talk but Sonnen's stuff is pretty funny just because he's so ridiculous. And the big thing is, he came out against Anderson and backed it up. jbreemen: sonnen would have got the full suspension term if the black guy wouldn't have gotten tired and cats didn't need to be fed. What is even funnier is that his doctor couldn't explain to them the definitive cause of his low testosterone... Which is, in a majority of the cases, past abuse.
