by Paulo Silva on August 17, 2008

Our good friends over at MMANews are reporting that talks between Affliction and Dan Lauzon are progressing. The upstart promotion is apparently looking to pair the young prospect with Chris Horodecki to create an exciting battle of the 20-year-old MMA phenom's.

The fight is being looked at for Affliction's second event scheduled for Oct. 11 in Las Vegas.

Horodecki (12-1) recently signed a three fight deal with Affliction and started his career off with an impressive 11 fight winning streak before dropping a first round TKO to Ryan Schultz.

Lauzon (10-2-0) is currently in the midst of a six fight winning streak, recently earning a TKO victory against Brendan Hoxie in June. Dan Lauzon is the younger brother of popular UFC veteran Joe Lauzon and has the distinction of being the youngest fighter to ever compete in the UFC. Lauzon entered the octagon two years ago at the tender age of 18, dropping a first round TKO to UFC veteran Spencer Fisher.
