When Chris Lytle and Dan Hardy step into the Octagon at UFC on Versus 5, a war is sure to ensure as Lytle promises to give Hardy the kind of fight the Brit has been longing for according to mmamania.com.

"You know they're going to trust that the last fight on the card that people want to see it. That tells me that they know that people like the way I fight, they appreciate it and I'm honored to be in that spot. When Hardy told me he wanted to fight me, he was very respectful about everything," Lytle said.

Hardy (23-9 (1 no contest)) has been on a slump as of late and for "The Outlaw", losing his place in the UFC is a very real possibility if he is defeated by Lytle. Hardy established himself as a heavy handed brawler during his four fight win streak that kicked off his UFC career. However in his recent fights, Hardy dropping three consecutive bouts to George St. Pierre, Carlos Condit and Anthony Johnson. In those defeats, Hardy seldom had an opportunity to display the skill set that made him famous, his striking.

"From what I understand he wants to fight, he wants a good kind of fight, and fight the right kind of way. He thinks I'm going to give it to him and I'm going to," Lytle added.

Lytle (30-18-5) will be looking to rebound against Hardy after being defeated by Brian Ebersole at UFC 127. His unanimous decision loss to Ebersole also snapped a four fight win streak for Lytle.

UFC on Versus 5 is held on August 14 at Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lytle and Hardy headline the event. They are complemented by Jim Miller vs. Ben Henderson, Charles Oliveira vs. Donald Cerrone and Amir Sadollah vs. Duane Ludwig in the main card. The prelims will air via facebook.
