A welterweight bout between Chris Lytle and Kevin Burns has been officially added by the UFC to the "Ultimate Fighter" season 9 finale. The Lytle vs. Burns match-up is set to be on the un-aired preliminary portion of the fight card.
TUF 9 finale takes place on June 20th in Las Vegas, Nevada and will telecast live on Spike TV.
Chris Lylte is coming off a loss to Marcus Davis at UFC 93 in January; the bout earned "Fight of the night" honors for Lylte and Davis. Lytle also earned a "Fight of the Night" bonus check for his win over Paul Taylor at UFC 89. Lytle, is a full-time firefighter and holds notable victories over Matt Brown, Pat Healy, Aaron Riley and Kazuo Misaki during his 40+ fight MMA career.
Kevin Burns is coming off his first UFC loss to Anthony Johnson at the TUF 8 finale in a rematch from their previous bout, in which Burns earned a highly controversial TKO victory over Johnson. Burns burst onto the MMA scene with a huge victory over Roan Carneiro. Burns submitted Carneiro, who is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt.
