Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell has landed a role in the movie "Passion Play," which starts Mickey Rourke and Megan Fox.
There has not been too much information released about the film, as it has reportedly been having budget issues. However, the stars have been seen on set in Sante Fe, New Mexico. The IMDB movie plot gives the following description of the film: "An angel under the thumb of a ruthless gangster is saved by a trumpet player down on his luck."
Liddell has stated, via Twitter, that he will be attending WEC 46 tonight, but will miss out on UFC 110 on Feb. 21 because he will be filming.
It is interesting that Rourke and Liddell are working together, as, years ago in an interview, Rourke started that Liddell was his favorite athlete.
"Passion Play" is written and directed by Mitch Glazer. Glazer has written the screenplays for "The Recruit" (starring Colin Farrell) and "Great Expectations" (starring Ethan Hawke).
