"I'm still working on evaluating. I thought I did great before I was caught. I have to look at it some more and think about it. I think I looked good and I definitely was in great shape. I could have kept that pace up for another four rounds, without a doubt. It's hard to beat that [aggressiveness] out of me, because that's who I am and that's who I've been for a long, long time. People like watching me because of the way I fight, so it's hard to get me not to fight that way. There's a lot still to think about. I felt pretty good and I think showed I can compete. I'm not going to rush and I'll do what I think is best. I'm just not at a point to make that decision yet." -Chuck Liddell
Despite recently being knocked out for forth time in his past six fights, 40-year-old former UFC light-heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell is still unsure about whether he will retire or not. The comments come on the heals of UFC President Dana White's remarks indicating that Liddell would likely retire.
It's not the first time Liddell has hemmed on possible retirement despite White's prodding. Back in April of last year, after Liddell was knocked out in the first round of his fight against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, White strongly suggested that his friend and former management client retire. Liddell, however, convinced White to allow him to fight again, provided he gave up his notorious hard-living outside of the cage.
It's unclear whether Liddell will be able to convince White to give him another fight with the UFC, if that's what he ultimately decides he wants, but White has already told media that he had a conversation with Liddell after his loss last weekend and told the MMA legend that he is "done."
