Cody McKenzie (12-1) and Bart Palaszewski (35-14) will face off in a lightweight showdown at UFC 130, according to UFC.com.
UFC 130 is currently slated to take place on May 28 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McKenzie will be coming off of his first loss as a professional mixed martial artist, when he was defeated by Yves Edwards at UFC Fight Night 23. Prior to that, McKenzie had reeled off 12 straight victories to start off his career, including ten by guillotine choke. McKenzie rose to stardom after his stint on The Ultimate Fighter.
Palaszewski will make his UFC debut against McKenzie after going 4-3 during his stint with the WEC. His most recent fight was a close split decision loss to Kamal Shalorus at the final WEC event. Palaszewski had reeled off four straight victories before the loss to Shalorus. The Polish fighter is the only man to defeat the last WEC lightweight champion, Anthony Pettis.
UFC 130 is headlined by a lightweight rematch between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard. The two competed in an early favorite for Fight of the Year at UFC 125. The bout resulted in a draw, setting up Edgar/Maynard III.
