Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic has suffered yet another medical setback. According to a report on Index.hr, the popular Croatian champion has been hospitalized with possible salmonella poisoning, putting his upcoming DREAM return against "Mighty Mo" Siligia on in jeopardy. Cro Cop has suffered through multiple injuries and ailments since 2007 which have included a variety of hospitalizations.
According to the report, the 2006 PRIDE Grand Prix champion is suffering with diarrhea, dehydration, and stomach pain. He was admitted to the ER at the Paula General General Hospital and administered an IV and antibiotics.
Cro Cop is expected to make a full recovery, but there is no word yet on whether he'll be able compete on July 20 -- the date of his expected return to DREAM against Might Mo.
