Mirko Filipovic, more famously known as Cro Cop, has decided to hold off on retirement and plans on fighting at least one more time in the Octagon according to mmafighting.com.
A once feared striker with his trademark kicks, "right leg hospital and left leg cemetery", Cro Cop has defeated the likes of Wanderlei Silva, Josh Barnett and Aleksander Emelianenko during the heydays of the Pride Fighting Championships in Japan.
However Cro Cop has been struggling since his introduction into the UFC back in early 2007. Cro Cop has gone 4-5 in his last nine UFC fights, losing his last two fights via knockout.
Cro Cop has played with the idea of retiring in the past although the Croatian has yet to hang up the gloves and call it a career.
"Do I think he should have retired? Yeah. But I don't think he's in one of these situations like Chuck Liddell, who needed to retire right then. He's a man, a grown man, and if he wants to continue to fight, that's his right. And he still has a fight with me" UFC president, Dana White, said on mmafighting.com.
Cro Cop's future opponent and date of his return to the Octagon remains to be seen.
