Bantamweight sluggers Damacio Page and Takeya Mizugaki both have verbally agreed to battle one another at the yet unannounced WEC 45 event in December. News of the bout was first reported by Sherdog.com.

The potential slugfest between Page and Mizugaki will likely earn a spot on the WEC 45 televised main card, with the winner of the bout inching closer to a title shot.

WEC 45 is expected to take place on Dec. 19 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV and the main card will air live on Versus.

Page (12-4) is 4-1 in his last five bouts, which includes quick back-to-back stoppage wins in the WEC over Marcos Galvao and Will Campuzano. His only loss over the span came against current WEC bantamweight champion Brian Bowles at WEC 35. Page is 3-1 with the WEC, with a prior win coming over Scott Jorgensen in his WEC debut at WEC 32.

The Jackson's Submission Fighting product has fought all over the world during his four year career, fighting for an array of promotions such as Pancrese, King of the Cage, TKO and Extreme Challenge. He has finished all but one of his 11 career wins and he holds notable victories over the likes of Stephane Vigneault and Thierry Quenneville.

Mizugaki (12-3-2) comes to the WEC by way of Japan making an impressive debut with the promotion by lasting five full rounds with then bantamweight champion Miguel Torres at WEC 40 in what has been termed a "Fight of the Year" candidate. Torres was awarded the unanimous decision win over Mizugaki at the April event.

Mizugaki most recently defeated hard nosed veteran Jeff Curran at WEC 42 in August. Prior to joining the WEC, he put together a five fight winning streak to get himself noticed by the UFC sister promotion. Mizugaki has fought nearly his entire career with Japan's Cage Force and Shooto promotions.
