A welterweight bout between TUF 9 welterweight runner-up Damarques Johnson and Germany's Peter Sobotta is set to take place on the UFC 105 event according to MMAWeekly.com.
Though not officially announced, UFC 105 is expected to take place on November 14 from the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England. The event will likely feature U.K.'s Michael Bisping in the main event and will also feature TUF 9 winners James Wilks and Ross Pearson.
Johnson (9-7) is currently on a two fight losing streak, with his most recent loss coming in his official UFC debut at TUF 9 finale in June against James Wilks. Prior to losses, he'd had won five straight from October 2007 to September 2008. Out of his 9 career wins, 4 have come via TKO or KO and 4 by submission. Johnson currently trains out of Elite Performance Gym outside of Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sobotta (8-2) suffered just his second career loss in his last fight as he was defeated by Paul Taylor in his octagon debut at UFC 99 in June. The fight took place in his native Germany. Prior to the loss, he'd won four straight bouts. All 8 of his career wins have been by stoppage, including seven coming in the first round. Sobotta won several Judo and submission accolades in East Germany in the beginning of his career.
