Dan Hardy vs. Dong Hyun Kim in the works for UFC 105
by Jacob Camargo on August 21, 2009

Welterweights Dan Hardy and Dong Hyun Kim will look to stay unbeaten inside the octagon when they square off against each other at UFC 105, according to Fighter's Only.

Hardy has won his last six bouts, including his first three bouts in the UFC against Akihiro Gono, Rory Markham and most recently Marcus Davis at UFC 99. Out of his 22 career wins, 15 have come by way of stoppage, including 11 by TKO or KO. The longtime Cage Warriors Fighting Championship veteran trains at Team Rough House and has spent time with renowned boxing trainer Freddie Roach and jiu-jitsu submission expert Eddie Bravo.

Kim is coming off a unanimous decision win over TJ Grant at UFC 100 in July. Prior to the win, he lost a close split decision to Karo Parisyan, however, the loss was changed to a no contest by the Nevada State Athletic Commission due to a failed drug screen by Parisyan. Kim is now 3-0 in the UFC, with prior wins over Matt Brown and Jason Tan. The longtime DEEP veteran sports an impressive 11-0 MMA record, with seven of those wins ending by stoppage.

UFC 105 will take place on November 14 from the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England and will broadcast on Spike TV.

The event is rumored to be headlined by a lightweight title bout between UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn and challenger Diego Sanchez. Middleweights Michael Bisping and Denis Kang are in talks to square off in the co-main event.
