After Dan Hardy was out-wrestled to a decision against Anthony Johnson at UFC Fight Night 24, many assumed that the British welterweight would be cut from the promotion.
When asked if Hardy had fought for the last time with the the UFC, President Dana White wasn't quite sure.
"Not necessarily," White said. "We'll have to wait and see. I f*****g love that kid."
Now Hardy has gone to Twitter to drop some hints at who he wants in his next fight. "The Outlaw" has posted the following messages to the popular social website.
"I want to fight again. I feel like I've been robbed of of the reward at the end of training camp."
"An oldschool shootout with a guy that wants to throw down. Screw the rankings, records are for DJs."
"Win in a blaze of glory or go out on my shield. Someone like Mr. Lytle..."
Both Lytle and Hardy have now expressed interest in simply fighting to excite, not to score decisions or work their way to a title shot. A match-up between the two would be sure to cause fireworks and ignite the crowd.
Do you agree with Hardy's statement? Do you want to see him and Lytle square off in an old school brawl? Leave you thoughts in the comments.
