Dan Henderson prefers a bout with Jon Jones over Rashad Evans, believing "Bones" will provide a better stand up fight for him according to mmamania.com.
"I think Jon Jones is a better fight for me. His style matches up better. Jones will stand-up with me more. Rashad is real well-rounded. He'll stand and bang with me a little, but he'll be trying to put me on my back-a lot more than Jones would," Henderson said.
Henderson has been campaigning for numerous title fights since defeating Mauricio Rua at UFC 139. A rematch against middleweight champion, Anderson Silva, and even a fight in the heavyweight division as a late replacement for Alistair Overeem at UFC 146 has been considered.
More than likely, however, Henderson will see his title shot in the 205lb division against either Jones or Evans.
"Jones is real awkward and kind of poses a different threat. He's awkward, unorthodox and a little tougher to figure out, and that's also what intrigues me about it-he's different," Henderson said.
To date no fighter has been able to solve the puzzle that is Jones. Lyoto Machida had some success in the opening round at UFC 140 but ultimately fell to a guillotine submission in the second.
Jones and Evans are currently set for the main event at in the upcoming UFC 145 on April 21, Henderson's next fight likely to be determined by its outcome.
Will Jones be able to defend his title for the third consecutive time or will Evans spoil his championship reign?
"If I had to bet money, I'd put it on Jones, but I'd say Rashad has a real good chance. It's going to be a close fight," Henderson said.
