Dan Lauzon was stabbed the other night in the parking lot of a Massachusetts nightclub at approximately 1 a.m. ET, according to Enterprise News.
Lauzon was stabbed near the top of his shoulder. He was taken to Bridgewater Hospital after the incident and is doing fine.
Older brother and UFC veteran, Joe, badly sprained his ankle as he attempted to reach the hospital to check on Dan. The sprain will sideline his training for a little over a week. He was also forced to postpone a trip to Iraq to meet with troops on active-duty.
"I got to the hospital and gimp-walked my way into the ER and found Dan in one of the rooms," Joe posted on his website. "Luckily, everything was OK, and it wasn’t a big deal as was originally thought."
Dan Lauzon has been with UFC on two different occasions, going 0-1 during his first trip to the Octagon and 0-2 during his second stint with the organization. After his most recent loss to Efrain Escudero at UFC 114, he was released from the promotion. He has since picked up two wins in smaller shows.
Joe is 6-3 during his UFC career and is coming off of a submission loss to George Sotiropoulos at UFC 123. He did not have a fight scheduled.
