"The UFC is where I want to be my whole career. I don’t want to go anywhere else; I don’t want to fight for any other organization. If I lose this, I’m done. I’m very motivated to get a win. Also, I think this is going to be an awesome fight and I love to fight guys that are exciting. I think Bisping is a very exciting fighter. You know I think it’s going to be a war, I think it’s going to be one of those fights that’s going to the end."-Dan Miller
UFC middleweight Dan Miler recently spoke to Heavy.com about his upcoming battle against Michael Bisping at UFC 114 on May 29 in Las Vegas. Miller also addressed the real possibility that he could be dropped from the UFC if he loses to Bisping on Saturday night.
Miller has suffered back-to-back unanimous decision losses to both Chael Sonnen, at UFC 98 last May, and Demian Maia, at UFC 109 in February. He will likely be fighting for his job in the UFC, as three straight UFC losses usually spells walking papers.
In fact, the UFC typically cuts fighters after consecutive losses, but often brings back fighters they have released after they put together a string of wins outside of the organization.
Miller also hints at retirement should he be dropped from the organization, but that's likely an over-reactive emotional remark, as Miller is still young, highly talented, and if released his services would certainly be sought after by other high level promotions.
Miller's best bet to stay with the organization is simply to win his fight against Micheal Bisping Saturday night.
Prior to suffering consecutive losses, Miller was on a 10-fight unbeaten streak, which included wins in his first three UFC bouts over Rob Kimmons, Matt Horwich and Jake Rosholt.
